I will realize my own worth when I accept… what I do says a lot about who I believe I am.
Until today, you may not have been aware of how the conditions in your life and how you live your life demonstrate what you believe about yourself.
Just for today, review the evidence and bring in a verdict. Are you worthy? Are you not worthy?
Today I am devoted to supporting the evidence for me and changing the evidence against me that is me!
Iyanla Vanzant, Until Today!
Much too repetitively lately, I have been reminded of mistakes that I am still making. Clearly I am not learning from these errors if I am still performing them and as much as I am not consciously trying to mess up, inadvertently I do. Juggling my tasks of being a wife, a mother and an author doesn't have to be as difficult as I am making it out to be. My husband doesn't expect perfection but he does expect me to act like I have common sense when I make a simple decision. As much as he wants the best for me, his delivery of information always reflects his true feelings, especially when they are negative (disappointment, frustration, anger). I know I'm not as bad as the negative things he points out about me. I know I'm better than my past actions and bad decisions. What may have worked before doesn't work now and I have to make the necessary adjustments. If nothing else I've learned, change is constant and it’s never too late to correct a mistake. From now on, I will get better at accepting responsibility for my errors as well as reminding myself that I'm not as bad as people try to make me feel when they are temporarily disappointed in me.
